The tech hustle keeps going...
Welcome to the second inaugural week of my substack. It’s been super exciting hearing all the feedback since I decided to go out earnestly with this newsletter. People loved my recent interview with Ryan McDonough, Head of Development at KPMG Legal.
I am doing more interviews with leaders in AI, legal, and the future of work. Please reach out if you want to highlight your project. I have been more deliberate in gearing up for the A16Z tech week in two weeks. I should have more exciting things to say next week. Nonetheless, you can see the news that struck me as significant.
Finally, if you are interested in angel investing, I am starting my VC syndicate. We have a current deal keeping with our legal tech emphasis so if you are an accredited investor, you can look at the Angellist listing here.
You can also share updates with the channel you want to highlight to the community using this form.

Exciting to see Allen & Overy highlight the work their doing with AI and teams at Harvey. If you read between the lines even if their using a GenAI model, they often have to use a RAG based grounding to ensure they get the results they want. At the same time, some voices are skeptical about Harvey and its rise. Read more here: There’s Something about Harvey
AI Engineering
I have been super excited by the future of RAG and building techniques around it. Check out Advanced RAG: Corrective Retrieval Augmented Generation (CRAG) with LangGraph
Dan Selman, former CTO at Clause.io and one of the top engineers in legal tech writes about using knowledge graphs to create a hybrid queryable data system with Neo4J. I think is going to be a promising avenue for future development in RAG.
Greylock writes about the future of AI coding agents. Read here.
